Summer break is for doing all the things you didn't have time to do during season.
- Clean your gear - seriously. The hot summer sun is ideal for drying pads and it helps kill bacteria
- Check your straps, velcro, laces, toeguards. Replace them now.
- Clean your bearings. Clean bearings will help you get more roll out of every push of your skate.
- Rotate your wheels. Check wheels for treadwear and swap places so you are putting more tread where you need it.
- Check your helmet, replace the padding. Every time you go down, the padding effectiveness is reduced.
- Replace your mouthguard.
- Read the rules
- Cross train. Do something fun. Swim, bike, or anything that works cardio or core.
